Xixi Yard is located at the intersection of Wenyi West Road and Chongyi Road in Xihu District, with Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Park which is a national 5A scenic spot in the south and Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University in the North. The beautiful Yuhangtang River and the 50-meter wetland landscape belt on both sides of the river divide the community into two parts.

In April 2007, Canhigh won the Xixi Yard project by bidding. In Xixi Yard, Canhigh reproduced the classic residential form of Hangzhou, namely, wall-door residence, thus achieving the modern version. After entering Xixi Yard, the original living elements of the Hangzhou wall, such as lane, plain wall, secluded lane, quiet house, open house and patio reappear.

The introduction of Xixi Yard has triggered a heated discussion on the protection of historical and cultural buildings in Hangzhou. Canhigh worked with Hangzhou Urban Research Association and Urban Express (a local newspaper) to jointly launch series of special reports on "Searching for Old Wall Doors", which has left a must told story in the urban culture history of Hanghzou.

Xixi Yard respects the cultural context of Xixi and the skyline of the city. It is planned in low density. Two forms of house are courtyard townhouses with unadorned colors and simple shapes, and scenic apartments with overall height controlled. In addition to using more indigenous materials/plants, the project applied multiple ecological technologies, such as rainwater collection system, solar hot water system, five-fold ecological mute system, and ecological mosquito and fly repellent system according to local environment, thus creating an environment-friendly, ecological and comfortable living environment for the owners on the basis of protecting the environment of Xixi as much as possible.

The residential project covers an area of nearly 13 hectares with a total construction area of about 330,000 square meters. It is a combination of courtyard townhouses, scenic apartments and panoramic apartments, totally about 1,700 houses. The project was sold in July 2008 and fully put into service in December 2009 and June 2012, respectively.
